The greater majority of spiders are harmless to humans, with very few being venomous enough to cause death.
OH and spiders arent "poisonous", that indicates that the poison comes from digesting them (eating). an injection such as a snake, spider or scorpion is a venom- hence venemous.

In saying that, australian species of Tarantulas are alot more aggresive compared to the more docile american common pet Tarantulas. And again it comes down to individual specimens, some can be docile, others can be very aggresive.

These photos are wonderful displays of rare events, these are not common everyday occurences.
If anyone has any questions regarding Arachnids id be happy to shoot you my email and discuss further. My study is mainly within australian species but i do have some extended knowledge of international species to an extent.
